ITBS Testing

Assessment – Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS)

Week of April 8-12

APEX offers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) in order to give parents the opportunity to fulfill the requirements of the Colorado Homeschool law to test your child in the odd grade starting at 3rd grade (3, 5, 7) on a nationally normed standardized test. This testing is completely optional and is not required of any APEX student. Results of the testing are provided directly to the parent. Parents are responsible to submit testing results to the school district in which they have filed their letter of intent.

(NOTE – 9th - 11th-grade students are encouraged to take the SAT and/or PSAT instead of the ITBS. ITBS testing is not available for high schoolers.)
