ITBS Testing

Assessment – Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS)

APEX offers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills in order to give parents the opportunity to fulfill the requirements of the Colorado Homeschool law to test your child in the odd grade starting at 3rd grade (3, 5, 7) on a nationally normed standardized test. This testing is completely optional and is not required of any APEX student. Results of the testing are provided directly to the parent. Parents are responsible to submit testing results to the school district in which they have filed their letter of intent.

All you need to do to sign up for Iowa Testing is pay the fee on RevTrack. Click the “RevTrack” Quick Link at the bottom of the Homepage, sign in with your student’s information as shown on the instructional RevTrack screen and you’re all signed up! The fee will be listed as “optional” for all students in grades 3-8.  You can also pay with cash or check at the APEX front desk. (Please Note – ITBS testing is NOT available to students in grade K-2 or 9-12.)

To sign your student up, simply pay the optional fee and your done! If you do not wish to sign your student up, leave the fee blank. Students registering to test after the February 1st deadline will be assessed an additional $10 late fee.

(NOTE – 9th - 11th-grade students are encouraged to take the SAT and/or PSAT instead of the ITBS. ITBS testing is not available for high schoolers.)
