Bio:

Usha Narayanswamy has always been passionate about working with young people of all ages. She has graduate degrees in computer applications and computer science from University of Delhi (India) and University of Colorado (Boulder), respectively and worked as a software engineer for several years in her previous career. Once her children were in elementary school, she decided to change her career to her true passion of being an educator and got her teaching license in elementary education and added an endorsement in secondary mathematics. She has worked with students of different grade-levels (pre-school through college) and with diverse learning styles and abilities for over 30 years. She has been teaching at APEX since 2012, primarily in the area of mathematics that she loves. Besides teaching at APEX, she enjoys cooking for her family every day, volunteer for Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks as a volunteer naturalist, work in her garden, draw and paint, and go on hikes and camping trips!
