Performance 12/16

Students need to practice their songs for the performance next week at the all school performance at 2pm.  They have been working hard on their songs and are sounding great!  We look forward to seeing you there!

November 11, 2019

We've been working on our songs for the all school performance on December 16th.

Homework: Hey Hey Jam, Buena Suerte

October 21, 2019

Today we assigned parts for Hey Hey Jam and Buena Suerta.

Practice each of your parts for the 2 songs.

October 7, 2019

Buena Suerta - Recorder part played on the xylophone.  (look for a video in the next couple of days).  Start to play the low drum part with the recorded recorder part.

September 9, 2019

Today students started learning the xylophones, had a crash course in reading music (we will be working more on this throughout the year),  played in a drum circle to work on ensemble playing, and started learning our first song.

Homework:
Line one of the soprano xylophone part in The Hey Hey Song.  Students were given a paper that had a picture of a xylophone.  This is their "practice pad" to use at home.

August 26, 2019

It was a great first day of class.  We learned different techniques on how to play the drums and started to play as an ensemble.
