Atkinson - Spanish 2

Description: This course is offered to students who have completed Spanish 1 or Spanish A and B. Students practice at home using the Rosetta Stone online program and must have daily access to a computer with internet and a headset with microphone. In class students will learn more about how the language works including verb conjugation in several tenses and more complicated sentence formation. We recommend that your student study a foreign language in one of our classes at APEX.  Rosetta Stone is marketed as a stand-alone program and is effective at teaching language at the speaking level, but it lacks the explicit instruction that will enable the student to continue to study the language in public school/college or to master it.  Besides having a classroom instructor to provide information on grammar and usage, it is helpful to practice language skills in a group setting.
