Criswell-Myths and Heroes-Thursday Assignments

Imagine your could connect two places on Earth with a rainbow bridge like Bifrost that only you and your family could use. What two places would your connect?Draw a picture of your Bifrost bridge connecting those two places. Be sure to label the picture with the names of the places and any other important information. Upload your picture to the assignment.

Use the attached choice board to choose ONE final project for our Egyptian Myth unit, or come up with your own creative idea. Feel free to ask me questions or meet with me during office hours as you start planning and working on your project.

Although you have until the week after spring break to turn this in, do yourself a favor and get it done BEFORE spring break so you can actually have a BREAK! 😁

Use the attached Character Cell Phone ONLY if you choose to do that specific project.

Complete the graphic organizer with at least six facts about either Hathor OR Sekhmet.

Use the information from the lesson and the attached document to add six facts about Anubis and/or mummification.

Use the organizer (or create your own) to record facts about Ra from the slideshow and reading.

Important relatives
Special characteristics or powers
Animal representation/Appearance
Other interesting facts

Use the Hieroglyphic Alphabet to write your name in hieroglyphics. You may design your own cartouche, or create use the attached template.
Optional Extension: If you want to try your hand at translating hieroglyphics, you can try the “Reverse Dictionary” activity (not required).

After watching the lesson video and reading the slideshow, answer which mythological quarantine character was your favorite and why.

Optional: If you feel inspired to create your own modern version of a character from Greek mythology to share with the class, go for it! You can use one of the characters from Muroya’s cartoons for inspiration, or you may choose a different mythological character.

You do NOT need to summarize the myth here; just add the allusion.
