LeFevre - Yearbook-Monday Assignments

We didn't get to design our own cover this year and so I thought it would be fun for you to design your own today.  We will not be using this for yearbook, but it will sharpen your design skills!  


First, go to Canva with the link below.  Here is your blank canvas.  Now start designing!  Style, color and graphics are all your choice!   You can look at the templates for inspiration, but I want your own creation.  Don't forget this is a cover and needs to have the school name and year included.  Have fun with this!  


When you are finished either download or take a screenshot and upload the file to me here.  I look forward to seeing your cover.

Ian: you need to add in the heading "Virtual Valentines Day Party" and add the artwork to your pages somewhere.

Ainsley: add in your pictures, create borders and change font...I think you are done with all of this.

You need to have your spread/pages designed to the point that we can start adding pictures to them next week. This means they have a template on them and all of the artwork you think you want to add. Remember...most of these spreads will have MANY pictures on them and so you need to put templates that have plenty of frames. Also, you might consider adding borders to your frames...we can do this later though.

This week I want you to start playing with the design of your page. I want to see a template on your page along with some artwork. This is not going to be your final page design...just the beginning. You can start shaping your page they way you want it to look for the overall look. In the upcoming weeks I will chat with you about your page and the elements and give you some pointers on polishing the design.

I want you to recreate your template from Slides last week and save it as a template. Just name it your first name. Make sure you keep it on your page. Add a background in too!

You do not have to post anything here in Classroom...if you think about it though, after you are done in the eDesign website, click TURN IN here. Not a big deal if you forget to...I will be checking the eDesign website.

During class I showed you how to add a background in slides. I want you to take a fall photo and use it as the background and then add 4-6 photo frames, a text box and a heading.

Points:

2 pts Clean and Finished Looking

Please click on the slides link below to do this, it will take you into your own slide. Don't forget to click the TURN IN button in the upper right when you are finished. This TURN IN button is on the slides page where you are creating the slide.

Do the quiz form below. The instructions for watching the videos is on it. ALSO...after you get done with the Form and the Quiz, I would like you to put borders on the images on your page.

Today during class we will be putting pictures on our pages and aligning them using the Swiss grid. You do not hand in anything here...I will take care of this and give you points for completing the task in class.

You are going to design a slide with your five scavenger hunt photos. I want you to keep in mind the overall look of your slide...it needs to look "finished" when done.
Here are the things I want:

1. All five of your pictures
2. Background
3. Some art
4. Heading

Upload your photos into the form

Go to hjedesign.com and upload 3-5 pictures of your homeschooling to the website. Click the tag: HOME LEARNING. Once you are done with that, come back to this question and answer that it is done :)

I just want to make sure you can sign on. Remember, your username is your Google Username or Google Email, but take off the @svvs.org. Your password is sv followed by your student number. This password is the same as your Google Password for many of you.
