HI Students! This week watch this video about the actual making of illuminated letters. You can start it after 2 minutes. The first part is about tanning the hides to make the actual paper which we have seen before. Then try your hand at making the first letter of your name! Bring your letter to class next week, or show us on-line.

HI! We will start this in class after watching the videos together and talking about it.

IN this project we will be creating a similar Google slide show to present to one another. IN the attached doc is the rubric going. through the requirements for each of the 10 slides. Have fun!

Hi! This week we will review instruments of the Symphonic Orchestra, brass and woodwinds. These instruments are so expressive but hard to identify. Watch the video attached and we'll test ourselves next week. After you have watch the videos, please submit this assignment in Classroom!

HI! This week we're going to the beach! YES!! If only that were true!!! Well....we're off to the beach in our minds with this piece, Debussy's LaMer (the sea in french). It is a beautiful piece that create images in your mind! Enjoy!

Again LOTS of clips here and several of them are overviews of Musical Theater. Some of them are lengthy. As usual, I will leave it up to you. Watch them all or skip around. Try to get a broad overview of this performing art form. It is not boring! Have fun!

Hi Students! To finish up our unit on writing about Dance, you will do a final project. Please choose a dance genre to explore on your own. You may also choose a certain choreographer or specific dancer to research as well. You will teach us about this aspect of dance in a Google Slideshow. In the attached document, you will find the instructions and rubric. We will go over this in class.

HI Students! This week we will look at cultural dances. Each culture or country has many, many more dances associated with it but this is just a quick sample!
As always watch all or just some of each one to get a sense of the style and movement. Some clips have talking in the beginning , so just skip ahead.

This week we begin our journey through the art of Dance! While there are so many wonderful kinds of dance in the world, we will only be able to cover a few of the genres. We are starting with Tap Dance. This week you will explore tap dance and how it has evolved through the decades in America. We will sample several examples of tap dance from the early part of the 20th century and into the 21st century.
