Description: This course utilizes an online “tech”book as its main curriculum. Students must have reliable internet and access to a computer on a daily basis to complete this course successfully. This course will combine units in earth science, life science and physical science to provide an overview of scientific concepts. We will explore topics such as plate tectonics, natural resources, weather, cells, genetics, classification, plants, ecosystems, intro to chemistry and intro to physics. This course will also focus on learning scientific skills such as inquiry, data collection, laboratory procedures and graphing. Textbook reading assignments, laboratory assignments, dissection and computer visualizations will be used. This course can be repeated twice during middle school without repeated material in preparation for high school level sciences.

Complete the M&M ecology simulation. For this activity you need to any object that has a marking on one side and not on the other, like M&Ms, skittles, pennies, beans (marked on one side), or tokens. You will need between 50-100 of these objects.
