Description: This course utilizes an online “tech”book as its main curriculum. Students must have reliable internet and access to a computer on a daily basis to complete this course successfully. This course will combine units in earth science, life science and physical science to provide an overview of scientific concepts. We will explore topics such as plate tectonics, natural resources, weather, cells, genetics, classification, plants, ecosystems, intro to chemistry and intro to physics. This course will also focus on learning scientific skills such as inquiry, data collection, laboratory procedures and graphing. Textbook reading assignments, laboratory assignments, dissection and computer visualizations will be used. This course can be repeated twice during middle school without repeated material in preparation for high school level sciences.

Welcome back. I hope everyone is healthy and doing well. As you know by now we are doing an online format for our class. Things will be a bit different for now. I will send out a weekly video and some quick directions into your new google folder (usually on Monday, but it will post on Wednesday this week). I will continue to use google classroom to communicate with you all and give you your assignments, post videos, share worksheets, etc.
