Welcome to Ms. Tovar's Classes

Ms. Tovar was born and raised in Colorado and has always had a passion for education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Education from Regis University. She began her teaching career in 2013 and has spent 10 years teaching Language Arts at Broomfield High School. This is her second year at APEX and she is excited to be teaching Language Arts for High School and Middle School. 

Ms. Tovar is passionate about building strong relationships with her students and creating a supportive, engaging classroom environment. She believes in empowering all learners to think critically, communicate effectively, and grow with confidence.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband Gabriel, their three sons — Teddy (9), Winston (6), and Oliver (1) — and their Samoyed, Luna. Ms Tovar loves painting, cooking and playing the guitar. As a family, they love being outdoors, traveling, and playing soccer, pickleball and tennis. She is thrilled to start her journey at APEX Homeschool Program and looks forward to an amazing school year!
