Student Shout Out

Carson Rumsey and his Robotics team are headed to Worlds.

Carson Rumsey's team was the winning Alliance captain and won the tournament. Their personal scoring is currently the highest in the world! They also won the Inspire award, an award that goes to the team that is best qualified for all other awards and best embodies the qualities of FIRST. Carson personally won one of three Dean's List finalist spots for Colorado by demonstrating the qualities of a leader and an excellent FIRST Tech Challenge student. His team has qualified for Worlds because of their achievements and has a busy two months ahead of them to be ready for Worlds in Houston in late April. Congratulations Carson and team.  Best of luck at Worlds.

Jonathan and Eric Otte win awards at Middle School Robot Competition

APEX students, Jonathan and Eric Otte competed in the State VEX IQ for Middle School Robot Competition.  They won the top award, Excellence, which was based on their driving and autonomous programming scores as well as being judged on the keeping of an engineering notebook.   They had the highest score for driving and autonomous which earned them the Robot Skills Award and they were the top team with an alliance team to win the Teamwork Challenge Award.  They have been invited to attend the Worlds Competition which will be held in Dallas, TX in May.
