Reminder - Norse gods poster project is due next week. Be ready to present your poster to the class next week.

Norse Gods Poster

See the attached handout for details about our Norse god poster project, due March 22. Today, students chose their god to research and started reading about the character. We may have some time to work on this in class next week, but this is primarily an at-home homework assignment to be presented to the rest of the class on the due date. Several students asked about using poster board or tri-fold displays; while this is allowed, it is certainly NOT required. They may use large construction paper (from home or from our class) or attach several pieces of copy paper together.

Please be sure to check with me first if you decide to change your character from the one you chose in class. I want to make sure everyone researches a different god or goddess.
Norse Mythology book
Students will start a unit on Norse Mythology this semester. We will spend a couple of weeks learning some historical background about Vikings before learning about the gods, goddess, and stories of Norse mythology. We will read and do a variety of projects in-class, with occasional at-home extensions and projects.
