Be sure to watch the "Area of Polygons on a Geoboard" Video before completing this assignment. Then click on the link below to access the online geoboard. Create your own polygon with at least 4 sides using the rubberbands, and then divide your polygon up into rectangles and right triangles using different colored rubberbands. Calculate and record the area of each individual shape, and then add them all up to get the total area of your polygon. When you are finished, take a screenshot or photo of your completed geoboard and upload it to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment).

After watching my demonstration video, print off the "Polygons on the Geoboard" PDF (attached below) and plot the ordered pairs on the online coordinate plane geoboard (linked below) to make 4 different polygons. Be sure to use the color of band listed on the PDF for each of the different polygons. When your are finished, take screenshot or photo of your geoboard and upload it to this assignment. In addition, tell me the name of each polygon you created (ex. "The blue polygon is a rhombus"). You can either record your answers on the PDF, take a photo of it, and upload this as well, or you can send me a private comment with your answers.
