Please print and complete one of the handouts: Service Business plan or Product-Based Business plan and share it with me via the GC before next class.  Then create a poster for your Business Plan.  This would be the marketing piece you would take with you to share with investors or the bank in order to get people excited about your business.  Remember if you have an idea for a business that is not on one of the templates, simply create your own, but do remember to include the questions and answers too!

Please print out a copy of the Job Application. Remember to use your very best handwriting; spelling, punctuation and grammar do count! Be honest and be yourself! Don't be afraid to brag about your experience. Employers want to know about you, and why you would make the best candidate for the job!

Please complete this attendance FORM/Survey. Mrs. Bishop and I need to know exactly who will be joining us for our day in Towne. Of course, in order to be eligible to attend the field trip, you must make sure to complete all your assignments this semester.

If you are having trouble opening or responding to this Survey, simply attach a "YES, I plan on attending the field trip" or "NO, I am unable to go", response to your Job Application.

If you have any questions or concerns drop by my Office Hours.

Please take the Skills Assessment test again for me and upload your results to the GC. We will be using the results of this test along with the notes you took on the Job Board during today's Learning Video to help you complete next week's assignment, Job Applications, so do not throw them away.

Please think of 2 to 3 fun bills you would like to introduce to your fellow citizens of AmeriTowne. I will compile all the selections together for you (the Legislature) to vote on. The bill with the most votes wins and will become our additional law that we will have to adhere to while in towne!

Remember to share your bills with me via the GC before our next class.

I have included each candidates speech for you to view, as well as one written copy because the audio is a bit difficult to hear on the recording. Please watch each speech and then make your selection. The BALLOT corresponds to the order in which I have posted the videos to help you out best. Remember if we are able to go on the field trip this year, things will be very different, and because our class sizes are so small the class that wins the Mayoral Election will not necessarily win Towne Hall like it has always been in the past. With that said, please vote for the candidate of your choice.

After you have read through the handout (see Materials) detailing the various shops at Ameritowne and the different types of positions available, send me a list of your top three choices to help Mrs. Bishop and I figure out the best way to divide up the stores.

I have attached Shaun's campaign speech to this assignment so you can watch it again to help you create a thoughtful, fun and catchy poster/slogan. I really look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Please complete this Google Doc after you have had a chance to watch all the election speeches on FlipGrid. Then cast your vote for the candidate you feel will represent us best as a class in the General Election.

Please watch each of the videos created by you and your classmates. Then VOTE on the candidate of your choice. Remember you are allowed to vote for yourself. The winner of our class's Primary Election will appear on the General Ballot for Mayor. Good luck to all!

Please create your 1 minute and 30 second Mayoral speech for our Primary Election. Remember to keep in mind what makes a good Mayoral Candidate: are you responsible, a good listener, great team player, up for a challenge, are you reliable, etc... Think of all the things that you currently do (school, sports, musicals, family responsibilities, a job you might have) and how these things might exemplify why you would be a good Mayor.

Remember you do not have to be Mayor of Ameritowne if you do not want to be. BUT I do want you all to participate in this very constructive exercise!

In this week's Video Lesson we are going to be learning all about 'Goods and Services', get a chance to post your responses to the class folder by using a 'Padlet' (if you have difficulty figuring out how to do this, simply post your 'Goods and Services' additions to our Classwork/Assignment page instead!), and finally watch a video about Young American Financial Institution and learn about all the different types of programs (in addition to AmeriTowne) that they offer.

When posting to the Padlet simply include your first name and last initial where it says TITILE, hit return and then add your shop, no need for a photo!

Also, I have uploaded the 'Map of AmeriTowne Shops'. Circle the Goods in Green, the Services in Red and ones that could be Both in Blue. Be sure to post your maps to our Classwork/Assignment page. We will review them next week.
