Description: Come explore the exciting world of visual art! Students will create, imagine, and observe the world around them while exploring the art elements in 2D and 3D art. Art history will sometimes be included as it related to the projects. Students will be drawing, painting, sculpting, and constructing artworks using a variety of art mediums and techniques. There will be art show opportunities for the students during the year.
2nd Grade Art: Using a variety of media, students will explore color, texture, and shape to create individual works of art such as paintings, clay, and directed drawings. Art History may sometimes be incorporated into the projects as well.
