Description: Students will explore fantasy and science fiction genres through reading novels, short stories and poetry; engaging in expository and creative writing activities; and participating in projects and presentations. This class is designed for students who enjoy these genres and wish to discover new authors and stories and enhance their language arts skills as well as students new to these genres looking to explore something new!

            It's time!  Do ONE of the two activities below:

                    1.  Write the first chapter of your fantasy novella on a google doc (or on paper if

                         you prefer).  This is just a draft and you will certainly revise and rewrite it

                         several times.  Just get something on the page!

                    2.  Write an outline of your fantasy novella that includes chapter titles and brief 

                          plot synopses.  This may change as you write, but should serve to guide your

                               thoughts at this point!
