Hi Ben! You are my only virtual music explorer now on Wednesdays. I accidentally skipped week 28 so we are going to jump back in with week 29. Attached is a rhythm activity. Choose a color to follow for the entire video. Choose a surface to strike (hit a table, chair, knees, drumsticks on a table or chair....).   As you follow the color in the video, only strike your surface when the bouncing ball guy lands on a circled number. Try all three colors or get someone to play with you on a different color than you. Record yourself doing this activity and turn it in.

We will be doing some bucket drumming later in a few week. If you need a set of drumsticks to do this at home, please let me know and I will have some ready for you to pick up.

We are learning a new note on our recorders today and exploring a song from a musical work by Modest Mussorgsky called "Ballet of the unhatched chicks."
Homework:
Record yourself doing the dance(you will learn it at the end of the video) OR either of the 2 recorder songs and turn it here. If you feel too shy to play your recorder in front of the camera, just record the audio without a picture and turn it in here.
No form....the video/audio is how you will earn your participation points this week.

Today we are wrapping up our unit on learning the treble clef. Please watch the video. There are a few notes you will not know in the practice part of the video. We haven't learned them and won't need them for recorders. Just ignore those.
When you are done, choose a treble clef worksheet to do. Do as many as you want but be sure to turn in at least 1 to Ms. Webb this week. I also included some challenge worksheets that include the bass clef for those of you who know it and want a challenge!

HOMEWORK:
After learning the song, record a video of yourself doing the body percussion(and singing along if you can) and turn it in here. You may have a family member, or the whole family, do it with you in the video. If this assignment puts too much stress on you or the family, please send me an email or a private comment so I can still give you credit and your daily participation points for this week in the grade book.

3- Write out the Rhythm Ms. Webb taught you on the white board on a sheet of paper
4- Take a photo of the rhythm you wrote and upload/submit it to this assignment
5- If you want an extra challenge, write in the words under the rhythm before turning it in
6- There is NO form to fill out this week. I know you participated in class this week if you turn in your written rhythm. If I do not get this from you I cannot give you your points for participation in the grade book for this week.
