Hello Science Students,
1. Please watch the video from Discovery Education about Simple Machines.
2. Read the names and description of simple machines.
3. Watch the video of Mrs. Hook and Mrs. Oien go on a scavenger hunt at Apex to find simple machines.
4. Go on a scavenger hunt in your own home, searching for the 6 different simple machines: Lever; inclined plane; screw; wheel and axle ;pulley; and wedge.
5. Fill out and submit the google form telling me what you found.

Hello Science Students,
This is our final lesson for our color and light unit. This week we will be learning about after images.
1. Please watch the video on after images, and then try out your own experiment.
2. Watch the After effects video, where you will color a flag. Do you see different colors? Can you see the entire flag?
3. Complete the google document about after images.

Color Filters/3D Glasses in Google Classroom

Color Filters/3D Glasses

Hello Science students,
This week we are going to learn about color filters and make some 3D glasses. Please complete the following lesson-

1. To begin, watch the video on color filters.
2. Try to conduct your own color filter experiment using two flashlights, and the red and green squares found in your packet.
3. Then watch instructions on making 3D glasses, and make your own pair of 3D glasses.
3. Finally, watch the 2 minute cartoon, with your 3D glasses. Are you able to see the bear and eagle in 3D?

Please take a photo of your 3D glasses, so I know you completed this activity. You can upload your photo to google classroom. Remember to "turn in " this assignment in google classroom.
