Use your “Once Upon a Time” chart from last week to guide your story. You can share your own Cinderella story OR retell one of the Cinderella stories from class. You can have two weeks to work on this, but the sooner you turn it in, the better so that I can (hopefully) share them before spring break.

Use the attached planning chart to PLAN your own Cinderella story OR retell one from class. We will work on the actual story/play next week.

After listening to The Egyptian Cinderella, finish a portrait of Rhodopis that shows her physical characteristics. You can print the attached template, or you can draw your own picture. Be sure to include:
Greek Traits:
Hair
Skin and cheek color
Eye color

Egyptian Traits:
Makeup
Clothing
Headdress
Jewelry

Make a WANTED poster for the antagonist in Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters. Make sure you check out the lesson video and my example from a different Cinderella story.

Make a puppet or draw a picture of your favorite magical helper in the Cinderella stories so far. Then, explain why this helper is your favorite and what is your favorite part of the story.

Options for sharing:
1. Add a picture of your character to the “Cinderella’s Magical Helper “document and type your answer.
2. Take a picture of your character and handwritten answer to upload.
3. Make a video of you explaining your answer with your character.
4. Come to office hours to show me your work.

Templates are attached that you MAY use if you want, but it is not required.

Fill out the missing boxes to show the Cinderella characteristics in Yeh-Shen. You can either type in the boxes or print it out and write in them.

Watch the video to help you summarize the story using Somebody Wanted But So Then.

Use the chart to show things that are similar and different between Anansi and the Talking Melon AND Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock.

Add at least 2 similarities and 2 differences.

Follow the directions on the attached choice board to share your finished pourquoi story. Be creative - if you have another idea for sharing your story, just let me know! Some of you had VERY detailed storyboards; if you would prefer to use the storyboard as your final pourquoi story, make sure it is edited and includes ALL the details you would want to share.

I will also be emailing your parents a permission form to share the stories in Google Classroom if you want your classmates to be able to check it out.

Create a storyboard including pictures and words for your pourquoi story. You can use the attached template if you want.

Use this story map to start planning your own pourquoi story. You can use pictures or words, or a combination of both.

Use the puppets you made for Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears to act out at least THREE cause and effect relationships from the story.

Sharing Options:
1. Take pictures and insert in a Google Doc. Add words to describe the cause and effect.
2. Make a video with the puppets and narrate the cause and effect relationship (Ex: ________ did ____________, so _____________ happened).
3. Come visit me during office hours with your puppets and act out the cause and effect relationships.

Answer the question in a complete sentence. For example, "The main problem in the story was ____________. It got solved when ________________."

Complete this graphic organizer to show how and why chipmunk changed, and what you think the lesson is for the reader. You can type your answers, or you can print it out and write or draw pictures to show your ideas.
