Please send me an image of your completed and measurable goals for next fall on page 108 of your SOAR book.  I am attaching the materials I gave out in class to help you in the future:)

Check Infinite Campus and answer the questions in this doc.

Please use the sample essay on page 79 of your SOAR book to help you refine your first draft.  Then write a final draft.  I will include a Google doc here if you would like to use it.  That is optional.  But, if you struggle with spelling or grammar I strongly recommend that you use a word processing program to help you edit your final product.

Please write a first draft of paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 for your paper.

Please finish doing research for your career paper. Then write your introduction in the attached Google Doc.

Please begin doing research for your paper as described on pages 70-71 of your SOAR book. Send me photos of at least ten research cards and two citations for your paper along with the career you chose to research.

Please finish your cards, organize them in your folder pockets, and then work them into a five-paragraph essay.

Please make sure to finish cards on questions 1-2 on Step 1 of Page 69 in your SOAR book. Do not go on until the next class. Keep using your binder and planner!!!

Please make a 5-pocket research paper folder as described on pages 72 and 73 of your SOAR book. Have it ready to go in your binder at the beginning of class next week. Make sure you continue to use your binder and planner too!!!

Please upload the textbook work you did this week. Then tell me how long it took to do the assignment and how much time you think it would have taken if you had not used the techniques SOAR recommends. We will discuss it next week in class.

Please be sure to use your planner and notebook as we have discussed. Also be sure to ARRIVE at class with a text book you can use for our assignment. It can be for an APEX class or any text you are using in your home school. I will check them off next week in class.

Please organize your school work space and/or desk according to the SOAR book guidelines. Send me a before and after photo. Then be sure you are caught up and using all of the tools the program has described to this point. Remember, it is about forming work habits which requires consistent use. Don't forget your Sunday meeting, calendar, binder, and organization. Don't forget to write your goals on your calendar.

Please take pictures of 3 areas in your room (before pictures) that you plan to organize (or improve) and use the guidelines in Chapter 6 to get organized. As I mentioned in class, this should NOT include following guidelines that are not what your parents want. Different families do things differently and that is fine. However, you there should be significant evidence of improved organization and tidiness in your after photos of those 3 areas. If you are already a super organized person, just jot down why you didn't need to make many changes and tell me what you did do. There is always room for improvement. You do NOT need to do your desk area in your room if that is where you do most of your schoolwork. We will switch to your work area next week.

As always, don't forget your Sunday meeting, use your planner, and use your SOAR binder for your schoolwork.

Since we had a snow day we will not start anything new. That way, even if you weren't able to get the supplies yet, you will have time to finish. So please continue to organize your SOAR binder, complete your November monthly calendar and next week's calendar, and remember to have your Sunday meeting. I'll see you next week! Stay warm!

Please get the materials for your SOAR Binder and overflow files. Then make your binder and organize your work according the the instructions in Chapter 5 of your SOAR book (beginning on Page 38). You do not have to send me a picture this week. Just have your things ready to show me for class and I will record your grade then.

Please fill out your planner for this week and the month of October as far as you know now. Don't forget to list your goals and then plan for meeting them.

Please print out a planner from the site your book recommends or buy one that meets the criteria on Page 32. Have it with you for class next week.

Please complete the chart on Page 24 and send me an image. Please do a thorough job on this. It is your game plan for the rest of the year for this class!

Please complete Pages 20 and 21 in your Soar book. Scan them or take photos of them and paste them into the attached Google doc.

Please complete the charts at the end of Lesson 2. Scan the completed pages or take pictures of them and paste the images into the attached Google Doc. Make sure the pictures are clear enough for me to read them if that is the route you go.
