Today we will share our cell analogy drawings and learn how to use microscopes.
HOMEWORK: Color and label microscope drawing
Virtual students: Explore the virtual microscope link. Choose a slide to draw from the simulation.
Due:
Cell analogy activity.
Students at home can either print out "cell city analogy" or follow along digitally.
Homework:
Complete the cell analogy, pick something other than a city to compare the functions of cell organelles to. Be creative. Your drawing should be neatly drawn on unlined paper, colored in, labeled, and include a description for each of the required organelles.

Due:
We are starting a new unit on cells and microorganisms. Today (Tuesday) we will discuss cell basics.
At-Home-Students: Try to print out the documents before class starts. "the cells and the cell theory notes" page will help you take notes as I lecture. You do not need to turn this in, but it will help you understand what you need to learn.
You'll also need to print out and complete the cell coloring pages and crossword puzzles within the next week.
Next week we will be drawing a "cell city" on a large piece of paper, so try to find the largest piece of paper you can, or tape 6 pieces of printer paper together. Our papers will measure about 2'x3'.
Cell notes, students take notes on note page.
Cell organelle organizer.
Homework:
Complete the cell coloring pages for the animal and plant cells.
Crossword cell organelles.

Please take your mid-term physics test.
I will leave the test open until Friday at noon, so you have 3 days to take it. You may also retake it as many times as you like during that time.
No homework over spring break. If you have make-up work to do for this quarter, I will accept it until the end of this week. No work for this quarter will be accepted after 3/19, unless you make a special arrangement with me.
Have a fun spring break and I'll see you (online or in-person) in a couple weeks!
