We didn't get to design our own cover this year, so I thought it would be fun for you to design your own today. While we will not be using this for the yearbook, it will definitely sharpen your design skills! For this assignment, click on the link below and create a yearbook cover on the blank canvas- style, color, and graphics are all your choice. You may look at the templates for inspiration, but please create your own design from scratch. When you are finished, either download or take a screenshot of your cover and upload it to this assignment. Don't forget that your cover needs to have the school name and year included on it.

For this week's assignment, I would like you to start "playing around" with the "Sketch" Book Look. Find some of the mods and artwork that I showed you in class and experiment with placing these on your pages. Add a title and try out the "Sketch" colors. Have fun and be creative!

After looking at the "Book Look" PDF, choose the ONE look that is your favorite and fill out this form during class to cast your vote!

This week I would like you to watch 3 videos on the yearbook website- "Image Resolution Warning", "Using the Shape Tools", and "Placing and Cropping Images". Then take a photo of something kind of far away with lots of background and upload it to the yearbook website- tag it to your name and the "Far Away" tag. Then create two shapes on your page- they can be two of the same shapes or two different shapes. Insert your "Far Away" photo into both shapes. Crop one photo so it's zoomed in close and zoom out on the other one. Be sure that your picture resolution is okay! If you get the DPI Warning, you will need to make your shapes smaller or you can always retake and upload a different photo to use. When you are finished, take a photo or screenshot of your page on the website and upload it here, or you can try to save on the yearbook website.

You are going to design a slide with your five scavenger hunt photos. I want you to keep in mind the overall look of your slide... it needs to look "finished" when done.
