Past Assignments
Due:
Choose one activity below to complete this week (you are welcome to do both if you would like). For the Tangrams Activity, cut out the 4 pieces and use them to make at least 4 out of the 9 shapes- after you have made each shape, draw in the 4 pieces on the shape on the paper. When you are finished, take a photo of your completed work and upload it to this assignment.
Due:
This week, choose one Origami figure to create (you are always welcome to make more than one if you would like). Use your visual reasoning and logic skills to follow the directions. When you are finished, take a photo of your completed figure and upload it to this assignment. Enjoy!
Due:
Print out the attached page and complete (or complete on a separate sheet of paper). When you are finished, take a photo of your work and upload it to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). If you choose to do the optional activity, you can upload a photo of that here as well.
Due:
Print the attached PDF before watching my video so you can follow along with me as I solve the first puzzle. Then choose one more puzzle to solve on your own, take a photo of your completed work, and upload it to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Hope you enjoy!
Due:
Attached is our last Escape Room for you to try. Be sure to watch my video before completing it, as in the video I go over how to solve the code puzzles that are included. I even solve the code to the first door in the Escape Room! If may be helpful for you to have a piece of scratch paper and a pencil handy as you solve the code puzzles so you can copy the numbers down and cross them off as you work your way through the clues. If you really get stuck and have spent all of your class time in the Escape Room, you can take a screenshot of the room you got to and upload it to this assignment as proof of doing the activity. Otherwise, when you get to the end, you will press the "submit" button and your responses will be recorded in the Google Form, letting me know that you made your way through.
Due:
Print this off before watching the video so you can follow along with me as I solve #1 and #2. Then solve #3 and #4 and one other puzzle of your choice on your own. When you are finished, take a photo of your completed page(s) and upload it to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Don't forget to click the "turn in" button!
Due:
This week I have two different Digital Escape Rooms for you to choose from- you only need to complete one. Click on the links below and check out each one before you decide which one you want to work on.
Use the clues in each picture to crack the code. If you need help, look at the hints I have posted for each lock.
Both of the escape rooms this week are timed- because of this, write down the combinations to the locks on a scratch piece of paper as you go. If the game times out at any point, simply click on the link again, re-enter the combinations for the locks you have already solved, and continue where you left off.
**When you are finished, take a screenshot or photo of the “Congratulations” page and upload it to this assignment.

Due:
Print the attached Nonograms and complete the puzzles. The "Turtle" and "Snail" Nonograms are required this week, and the "Dog" Nonogram is optional. When you are finished, take a photo of your completed puzzles and upload them to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Don't forget to click the "turn in" button when you are finished.
Due:
Click on the link below to enter the Digital Escape Room (note that this is a math based Escape Room- also called a Breakout Room).
Here are a few things you need to know:
1. Read the directions and know the codes you are trying to find
2. Know that some of the clues are not as they appear and you have to figure out how to figure out the code from them
3. Find the clues by hovering over the pictures and finding the place where your mouse pointer turns into a hand. On an iPad, click places within the picture.
4. If you have tried and you do not understand the clues, I have four hints on this classwork page to help you get the clues. Read them if you need to.
5. Your answer will have red writing under it if it is wrong, and no writing under it if it is right. Click "Submit" when you have all the clues in.
**Note: On one clue you will see measurements and the numbers are separated like this: 9 200 and 3 400. Know that these are just missing the commas and are the numbers 9,200 and 3,400.***
When you are done, take a screenshot or picture of the "Congratulations" screen (it is just the word "congratulations") and upload it to this assignment. Don't forget to click the "turn in" button as well. As always, let me know if you have any questions or troubles.

Due:
Please view the attached activity and then send me a private comment telling me which letter you think Debbie's reflection would be.

When you are finished with both activities, take photos of your work and upload them here. Look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment.
Due:
First, look at the "Example" attachment. It shows you examples of monsters that are "bipeddlers" as well as monsters that are not "bipeddlers". It also tells you that the monsters that are "bipeddlers" share one characteristic (or have one thing in common). Then it shows you that the one characteristic that "bipeddlers" share is they have two feet. Next look at the assignment. There are 5 different groups of monsters- "taileroos", "snailies", "hatterworts", "rhinobeaks", and "polypods". Again it shows you examples of monsters that "are" and "are not". This time, you need to figure out the characteristics that the monsters in the group share- some groups share two characteristics and some groups share three. Then, you need to draw your own monster that could belong to the group, as well as tell how you know (basically what are the characteristics they share). Please pick two of the five groups of monsters to work on. Draw your additional monsters and tell how you know they belong to the groups on a separate sheet of paper- be sure to label your drawings so I know what groups you are working on! When you are finished, take a photo of your work and upload it here to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Be creative and have fun!

Can you figure out what each of these images means? Try your best. Make sure you are giving yourself thinking time before you give up on one :). You can see the answers after you submit the form.
Due:
Use this form to either upload a picture of your word ladder or just tell me what the final word was at the top. One other option as well... if you gave it plenty thinking time, but you were not able to finish it, tell me about your thinking and what stumped you.
Due:
Try your best on this Visual Brainstorm card. Give yourself time before you look at the answer. Hint: break the riddle into parts.
You will be able to see the answer at the end.
