Boatman- Interactive Math 1-Thursday- P1 Assignments

After watching my video explaining all of the choices for this week, choose one activity to complete. When you are finished, take a photo of your completed work and upload it to this assignment.

After you have watched the video, fill out this form to show me your understanding of angles.

Print this out before watching the video of the book reading. Then, as you listen to the book, fill in the measurement equivalents. When you are finished, take a photo of your completed work and upload it to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Then trim off the outside edges and glue this into your Interactive Notebook to have as a reference.

Click on the link below to access the online geoboard. Then create 4 rectangles of your own and find the area and perimeter of each. Record your work on a separate sheet of paper and take a photo of it OR take screenshots of your geoboards- then upload it/them to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Finally, fill out the Google Form telling me the area of your 4 rectangles.

This week's Math Minute is a little different- please print off the attached PDF, complete the area and perimeter problems, take a photo of your completed work, and upload it to this assignment (look to the left and click the paperclip to add an attachment). After watching my demonstration video, make the following polygons on your geoboard (the link is below). If you need to, look back at the sheet that you added to your Interactive Notebook last week to see how many sides each polygon has and what the polygon might look like.

Polygons to create:
Square - Red
Pentagon - Blue
Hexagon - Green
Trapezoid - purple (a trapezoid is a type of quadrilateral)

Pick one of the following symmetry activities to print and complete. You will draw in the other side to make a symmetrical picture- it should be the reflection of the included side. I have included an example for you (it's the first attachment called "Example Balloon") so you can see how what your draw in should be a reflection (or the exact opposite) of the side that's been done for you. When you are finished, take a photo of your work and upload it to this assignment (look to the right and click the paperclip to add an attachment). Don't forget to click the "turn in" button!
