LeFevre - Interactive Math 2-Monday Assignments

Here is the game of Turtle Race.  Try to find someone to play with, if you cannot, you can do the activity on your own and just pick a turtle to win.  Upload your board to me when you are finished.

This game is great for division practice.  If you would like, you can just play five rounds instead of all 10.  The directions are on the PDF.  Please snap a pic of your scoresheets and upload it when you are finished.

After watching my video, use the link below to go to the online geoboard. Create a polygon and calculate the area. Come back here and upload a screenshot of your polygon split up into recatangle(s) and triangles and the area calculated.

If area is new to you, or you do not understand the triangles, you can just create a few recangles on the board and calculate the area of those.

You can print off the sheet or you can look at the sheet on the screen and write down your answers and work on a piece of paper. After watching my demonstration video on the Geoboard, look at (and possibly print) the PDF below for directions on your assignment. Then click the link to go to the Geoboard.

Make sure you take a picture of your geoboard showing the polygons you made and take another picture of the names you listed for those polygons. These pictures need to be uploaded to me here on this assignment. Note, as it says on the assignment sheet below, you can private message me the names of the polygons instead of taking the second picture.

**IF you can figure it out and want to...there is a text box feature on the virtual geoboard and you can name the polygons on the geoboard using text boxes. Then just take one picture to turn into me :)
