Hi Students! Great work drawing your 3D rooms today in perspective!! For homework this week, write a 200 word paragraph about how people of money and power influenced the culture of the Renaissance. Use examples from the video to support your ideas. Underline your main topic sentence. Have a great week! Mrs. G

Hi! Attached is the rubric for our final music project. We will be doing a Google slide show similar to what we have done before. The rubric goes through the requirements for each of the 10 slides. Have fun!

We will present these in class on March10 and 17th!

HI There! This week we are not meeting in person. Please watch my rambling little video as well as the instrument video.

HI! We're off to the beach this week! If only that were true!! Well....we're off to the beach in our minds, anyway with this piece by Debussy, "La Mer" ("the sea" in French). Think under the sea as well as on top!!! Have a great week! Mrs. G

Hi! This week we will go back and look at one more interesting background video on Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring." It was so controversial! We will also listen to a beautiful piece of music that paints a very different picture! Have a great week! Mrs. G

Get technical and talk about costuming, lighting, sets, etc. Talk about the story or writing. Don’t forget the casting and actors or characters. Do you wish someone else were playing the part? Why? Let's explore some little known theater genres!

HI! This week we will look at a serious form of theater, that of plays. I have included a bunch of clips of scenes from plays on the stage as well as some behind the scenes videos as well. Enjoy!

HI Students! Check out the video clips and answer the attached questions. If you would like to explore different operas or additional operas, go for it! there are many more that I did not include but are equally interesting and dramatic and in different languages. Have fun!

HI Students! This week we will explore Shakespearean theatre. FUN! I have included so many clips but as usual, just skip around or watch all of them. This is just to get a sense of how widely varying the different productions can be.

In this project, you will explore another style of dance or look more deeply into one of the dance genres we covered in class. You could also explore a certain choreographer or specific dancer. Check out the attached Google Doc to see the requirements.

HI Students! As usual there are a ton of clips here to look at. If there is a special country that I did not include that is important to you, please feel free to look it up, include it in your homework and write about it! I tried to include a variety of dances. There is so much more out there! I hope all the viedeo links work for you. As always, skip ads and feel free to skip around in the videos or watch them all the way through. Hi students! This week we will write about the ballet! I have many wonderful clips for you (maybe too many!) Again, watch the first one on the history all the way through and then the rest watch as much or as little as you like. I just want you see a bunch of different examples! Have fun writing about them. This week we begin our journey through the art of Dance! While there are so many wonderful kinds of dance in the world, we will only be able to cover a few of the genres. We are starting with Tap Dance. This week you will explore tap dance and how it has evolved through the decades in America. We will sample several examples of tap dance from the early part of the 20th century and into the 21st century.
