HI Students! Let's look at the items that need to be finished in the next month for your Final OOD Project. Most of the initial research will go fairly quickly. Look at each of the assignments and decide when you will have those finished. The writing may take the longest. If you figure out who you main character is you can start writing your poems over the next fews weeks without feeling rushed. Remember each poem can vary in length.

Please recreate the “Treasure Map” From the book. Reference the places in the first several chapters that describe the map and make one of your own. Hi Students! I am so happy to have you in my class this year! We are starting with a really fun adventure book, Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. You probably have heard the story and maybe read a version of it before. We're going to dive a little more deeply into it together!

In the attached document you will find the final "in-class" assignment that you will do on your own time. This will round out our class period to the normal 55 minutes it would have been in-person.

For Homework: (This class is rated a 4 meaning that you will have an hour of in-class work and 3 hours of homework due the following week.)
Most of our homework will revolve around reading the text 45-60 minutes a week and writing about it in the form of questions or 300 word paragraphs. All of the needed links will be included in the homework each week. The homework will probably not take a full 3 hours.
I would like to emphasize the importance of reading. If you do nothing else, (please do everything else!) read the text. My class is based on discussion of what we read and if you haven't read, it will be painfully obvious and the class will be super boring. So, please READ!
This week we will do a little research into the actual life of pirates by reading an article and writing about it.
