Boatman- Computer Skills 3-4-Wednesday- P6 Assignments

Mother’s Day is coming up soon (Sunday, May 9th), so I would like you to create a slide for your Mom! Click on the assignment below to create your own slide. When you are finished, be sure to turn it in to me, and then you may either print it out for your mom if you have a printer at home, or you can share it with her (click the yellow “Share” button in the top right corner and type in her email address). Have fun and be creative!

This week you will create your Title Slide and 2-3 slides about your morning for your "A Day In My Life" Slideshow. Click on the link below to get started. Have fun creating!

The purpose of this activity is for you to show me that you know how to perform certain skills on your own in Google Slides, as next week you will begin creating your own complete slideshow. Open your slide below. Then, insert an image, add a text box, add borders, and a background. You are always welcome to include more on your slide if you would like to. Choose to work in either Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides this week. Create and design your own Doc, Sheet, or Slide (you only need to do one). Show off the skills you have learned so far this year! Please complete the following:
1. Create a table starting with the headings in cells A1 and B1
*The first column heading is ANIMAL (type this in cell A1) and the second is NUMBER (type this in cell B1)
2. Put the data (information) below into that table (list the animals in the A column and the numbers in the B column)
3. Put borders on the table and put a color in the headings in A1 and B1
4. Highlight the table and make a bar graph (column chart)
5. Click on the title and change it to "Class Animals" or "Class Pets"
6. Change some of the colors if you would like
7. Click the "turn in" button when you are finished

After watching the video, open the Google Sheet I have attached for you and play around with some of the skills you learned in the video. This is your opportunity to experiment in Google Sheets and see what you can do- type in the cells, fill the cells with color, have it repeat a pattern, play with the tool buttons, or do whatever you would like! This week you will create your own "Choice" Assignment! Be creative and HAVE FUN doing this! If you are not sure what to do, here are some ideas:
✤ Create a poem
✤ Write me a letter
✤ Give me some information about a subject you are interested in (mini report)
✤ Draw me another picture using the Google Drawing tool and tell me about it

Take a picture of your fingers on the "Home Row" of your colored keyboard and upload it here. Look to the right and click on the paperclip to add an attachment. Then practice typing your name on your colored keyboard starting with your fingers on the "Home Row" and then using the correct fingers.
